190 exhibitors to date, exhibitor registration by 8 January
B2B networking and conference programme free of charge for visitors

BAU ONLINE is experiencing a great response: 190 exhibitors (status 17 Dec.) have registered to date for the digital event from 13-15 January 2021 to offer live presentations and 1:1 meetings. Exhibitor registration is open until 8 January. The conference programme, curated by BAU, Bauverlag and the Federal Ministry of Construction, offers further valuable insights. Tickets are free for visitors.

"Whether it's a face-to-face trade fair or an online format, BAU is a key connecting element for the construction industry to maintain contacts and exchange ideas on current challenges," affirms Dr. Reinhard Pfeiffer, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Management of Messe München. "We are pleased about the strong participation at BAU ONLINE. To date, 190 exhibitors from 25 countries have registered - and we expect more registrations by 8 January." Currently, 22 exhibitors are supporting BAU as sponsors. Visitor registration is also developing very positively. "I am impressed by the number of supporters, exhibitors, experts and participants for BAU ONLINE," says Dieter Schäfer, Chairman of the Advisory Board of BAU Munich and Chairman of the Board of Deutsche Steinzeug Cremer & Breuer AG. "This shows: The industry needs a platform like BAU, virtually in the Corona year 2021 and again as a presence trade fair in 2023."
Make full use of the offer - plan early

At the current time, exhibitors are offering 433 live presentations and 1,386 1:1 talks - figures that will continue to increase successively until the event. Online visitors can best take advantage of the networking opportunities by registering early for the offers, as some of them are limited. A personal overview is ensured by the "My BAU" planning aid, which compiles the individual day's programme of live presentations, 1:1 discussions and conference forums, in some cases automatically.
Top experts in the conference programme

The conference programme consists of the three pillars "Future of Building" (Bauverlag), "Studio Bund" (Federal Ministry of Building) and "BAU TV" (BAU Munich). The demand for information is high, because "whether digitalisation, circular economy, energy transition or sustainability: the current situation acts as an accelerator of long-needed transformation processes in the German construction and real estate industry," explains Thomas Kirmayr, Fraunhofer Building Innovation Alliance.

We master such challenges "by training future specialists in teaching and research, through life-long learning and by actively promoting start-ups," says Kasimir Forth, Technische Universität München TUM. Digital thinking is also needed in terms of sustainability; among other things, it's about "replacing hardware with software to temper buildings - without heating, ventilation or cooling, but adapted to users and the local climate", explains Dietmar Eberle, Baumschlager Eberle Architekten. Architects have a special significance as designers of coexistence, "we have to bring people, space and the environment back into harmony", says Martin Haas, haascookzemmrich STUDIO2050. These and numerous other top experts will provide valuable insights into the future of building in the conference programme.
