Sigma Labs Launches 3D Metal Printing Facility

Sigma Labs, Inc. (OTCQB: SGLB) ("Sigma Labs" or the "Company"), a leading developer of proprietary In-Process Quality Assurance™ (IPQA®) software for additive manufacturing ("AM"), today announced the successful completion of its EOS M290 launch event held on April 14, 2015 at the Company's facilities.

The M290 AM metal printer, enhanced with Sigma Labs' PrintRite3D® software, will provide previously-unavailable 3D printing capability, as the Company's technology ensures strict compliance to metallurgical and geometric property specifications. Approximately 60 individuals (from industry and government alike) attended the event, which lasted approximately two hours. Mark Cola, the President and Chief Executive Officer of Sigma Labs, emphasized the importance of quality assurance in a live demonstration of 3D printing. Dr. Vivek Dave, Scientific Advisor to the Company, joined Mr. Cola in showcasing the Company's applications. Sigma Labs is in discussions with potential clients from North America and Europe, as well as China.

Mr. Cola said, "We had excellent attendance at this event with a broad cross-section of attendees from industry, government, and key tactical and strategic partners. Representatives from the equipment supplier EOS were also present, as were potential customers and business development partners. We discussed a wide range of applications including for the aerospace, automotive, and tool & die industries, showing parts printed at Sigma Labs for these various sectors. We are committed to establishing a production capability fully enabled by our unique PrintRite3D technology."

Dr. Dave added, "What Sigma Labs is doing in quality control for additive manufacturing is one part of the larger picture – what we call the 4th Industrial Revolution. The first three involved mechanization, mass production, and automation. The next sits squarely at the confluence of intelligent and autonomous machinery, ubiquitous information, and insights derived from intelligent mining of 'Big Data.' We call it SLIM® – Small Lot Intelligent Manufacturing – for which additive manufacturing is the perfect case study."

Santa Fe Mayor Javier Gonzales called the event a "cool mayor moment" as he delivered a proclamation declaring Tuesday, April 14, 2015 "Advanced Manufacturing Day" in Santa Fe. He stated, "The technology Sigma Labs is rolling out today is incredible. This is a company fully engaged in the economy of the future – a prime example of what can happen when smart, driven people like Mark and Vivek take full advantage of the resources of the Santa Fe Area to take a chance and chase their dream."

As Marie Longserre, President and CEO of the Santa Fe Business Incubator, fittingly concluded, "So many members of the community came together to help celebrate Sigma Labs and their contribution to our economy. We're proud to acknowledge and support the growth of Sigma Labs and other innovative companies that create new jobs and opportunities for New Mexicans."
