3D printing with added value

New brand for additive manufacturing

For the first time, Covestro presents itself at Formnext 2019 in Frankfurt am Main, the leading trade fair for additive manufacturing. The company develops filaments, powders and resins for common 3D printing processes and aims to make its contribution to the mass production of plastic parts using additive manufacturing. At Formnext, Covestro launches a new brand for its 3D printing program, which offers customers added value by using customized materials in industrial production.

"We have broad expertise in processing materials using the most common 3D printing techniques," says Patrick Rosso, global head of additive manufacturing at Covestro. "With our innovative developments, we position ourselves not only as a problem solver, but also as a reliable partner for the supply of larger quantities and for upscaling production processes".

Covestro also operates its own 3D printing laboratories in Leverkusen, Shanghai and Pittsburgh to support its customers in the major regions. There, the company works with them to develop material solutions and test them in practice.
