„Shaping the Future of Product Development with AI Driven Collaborative Robotics“

Franka Emika Introduced as Second Founding Partner of the nFrontier Emerging Technologies Center (EmTeCe) Berlin.

Franka Emika GmbH, a global leader in Tactile Robotics, and Berlin-based innovation studio & venture builder, nFrontier, today announced a partnership aiming at jointly taking a leap into the future of impact-driven innovation by utilizing AI driven Tactile Robotics.

Established in August, as the new Product Development Powerhouse, the nFrontier Emerging Technology Center (EmTeCe), aims at becoming one of Europe’s leading facilities of creatively applied Emerging Technologies in soft- and hardware. The EmTeCe will integrate the “Emerging Eight Technologies“ in one single facility: Additive Manufacturing, Augmented Reality / Virtual Reality, Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things, Robotics, Generative Design, Drones and Quantum Computing.

The EmTeCe was developed to serve as a dynamic lab environment with the nFrontier pioneers teams co-creating radically new technical solutions. Enabled by the expertise, high-tech equipment and infrastructure provided by technology partners like founding Partner Stratasys (Additive Manufacturing) and now followed by Franka Emika, the EmTeCe is paving the ground to showcase new ways of developing innovative products by converging latest technologies.

Franka Emika will provide 2 tactile robots and its latest software platform systems to enable the nFrontier Pioneers Team, its Partners and Clients to create outstanding new products and process workflows within the EmTeCe Lab Environment. “We believe that our contribution to the EmTeCE will serve as a perfect launching pad to successfully introducing leading-edge product innovations enabled by tactile robotics within the realm of product development and process design. We share a common vision for the convergence of digital design and manufacturing to create sustainable growth and better products”, explained Patrick Pfaff, CTO of Franka Emika.

Accelerated by the joining of Franka Emika, the EmTeCe continues its route to become the leading international institution for digital design and product development and a landmark of the German capital’s tech-scene.

”We are very proud to welcome Franka Emika as our Founding Partner for the important domain of tactile robotics and are looking forward to exploring the full potential of their innovative kinematic technologies within our innovation projects”, said Daniel Buening, nFrontier CEO. “This commitment also shows Franka Emika’s visionary mindset in shaping the future of impact-driven product innovation enabled by technology convergence.“

nFrontier is a ground-breaking, impact-driven innovation studio accelerating the development and launch of industrial products – making the process faster, more successful, more digital and sustainable. Fueled by emerging technologies, benefitting from unique market insights and pioneering teams, and, crucially, using a proprietary A to L operating model, nFrontier has ambitions to re-shape today’s product creation patterns.

The three founders of nFrontier have demonstrated their capabilities to predict global market trends and create products for industrial customers around the world, while managing BigRep, the Berlin-based manufacturer of the biggest (FDM) serial built large-format 3D-printers. With Dr. Beyer as CEO business, Daniel Buening (CIO) driving innovation through powerful 3D-printed prototypes and Pervin Adiyaman running corporate administration, they have built the start-up into a global brand and innovation leader in additive manufacturing.
