DyeMansion continues on its path as an enabler of series production with AM in all areas: new products, partners and production lines for eyewear & footwear

At Formnext 2021, DyeMansion paves the way to series production with several new highlights: The announcement of the DM60 Black Line, machine integration with Siemens MindSphere and participation in two production lines for Eyewear and Footwear.

Under the motto "Reform Manufacturing", DyeMansion, the world's leading supplier of finishing systems for industrial polymer 3D printing, will show that it is the right partner for the future - for service providers as well as for companies working with 3D printing. Visitors to Frankfurt will experience first-hand how DyeMansion is proceeding to enable mass production with 3D printing in all areas.
DM60 Black Line and Powershot live
With the DM60 Black Line, DyeMansion announces a limited special edition of the proven DM60 in combination with a DM60 reservoir. It has been modified and specially developed for black colouring of grey raw material such as HP MJF or Stratasys SAF. The new process offers a true automated alternative to pot colouring. The DM60 Black Line comes with the usual DyeMansion ISO certifications such as cytotoxicity and skin irritation. Users can save 50% of the cost per part and up to 50% of the turnaround time compared to the classic DM60. The ability to reuse process water for up to five staining cycles with the DM60 reservoir significantly reduces fresh water consumption and wastewater. This package is available for order until 31 March 2022. DyeMansion will accept orders from 16 November. 3D-printed parts can be viewed at the DyeMansion stand 12.1, D21 at Formnext.
"The demand for black coloured parts in grey polyamide has increased significantly in recent years. The DM60 Black Line is our tailor-made solution to meet this demand in an industrial way, reducing lead time and cost per part. Our customers can now colour their parts in the proven Deep Black quality more efficiently and faster with this newly developed process," says Philipp Kramer, CTO & Co-Founder of DyeMansion.
Another highlight for Formnext visitors: the new Powershot DUAL Performance, which was presented in March this year, can be seen live on site for the first time. This is a new next-generation blasting system that has been specially developed for the factory of the future and large-scale production with additive manufacturing. Delivery of the series systems will start in Q4 2022.
MACHINE INTEGRATION WITH SIEMENS MINDSPHERE
DEMONSTRATING INDUSTRY 4.0 READINESS OF DYEMANSION MACHINES.
With a state-of-the-art IoT dashboard using Siemens MindSphere, an Industrial IoT as a Service solution, DyeMansion is demonstrating that their systems are ready for Industry 4.0. The showcase together with Siemens demonstrates the integration of DyeMansion technologies with any MES/ERP and IIoT platform based on the industry standard - one of the basic requirements for series production. Formnext visitors can experience machine-related data such as status, process information and sensor data live at stand 12.1, D21.
Sales partnership with Alphacam
DyeMansion's global partner platform continues to grow and is currently the largest of its kind in the market with 66 partners worldwide. Alphacam (DACH region) and CADimensions (North America region) will be a new authorised distribution partner offering the entire print-to-product platform. With both, DyeMansion has gained very experienced and strong distribution partners to successfully bring the new Stratasys SAF technology together with the DyeMansion post-processing solutions to the market.
"The partnership with DyeMansion is an important step for us to offer our customers the best possible technology. The DyeMansion Print-to-Product Platform harmonises perfectly with the SAF technology and thus allows us to offer our customers the entire process chain up to the finished component from a single source. We are especially pleased to have the Powerfuse S, the best vapour polishing system, now in our ranks", says Michael Junghanß, CEO & founder of alphacam.
Eyewear and shoes in series
As we move towards the industrialisation of additive manufacturing, DyeMansion is playing a crucial role in two exciting production lines. The first is Additive Scale, a project of YOU MAWO and AM Global. They offer eyewear manufacturing as a service. Their proprietary technology enables them to produce 3D printed glasses in stunning quality from one to one million pieces. To achieve this, Additive Scale relies on DyeMansion technology because they benefit from a scalable and reproducible process as well as a wide range of colours. This convinced long-time customer YOU MAWO to further expand the partnership between the two companies. "The application of glasses is often underestimated in terms of quality and surface. After many years of collaboration, we rely on DyeMansion's technology to ensure quality and scale in our manufacturing process," says Sebastian Zenetti, Managing Director & Head of Sales at YOU MAWO.
Another exciting application-oriented production line is iAMfootwear - a complete unbranded footwear application developed and produced by a powerful consortium of technology providers Arkema, DyeMansion, EOS, framas, Siemens and Twikit. This solution for a sustainable footwear application demonstrates how competitive 3D printing is today in terms of cost and performance. DyeMansion's print-to-produce workflow transforms midsoles printed with ARKEMA's PEBAX material on EOS' SLS technology into colourful, sealed end-user parts with the right look and feel - made possible by the Powerfuse S Vapor Polishing System, as VaporFuse Surfacing is essential for flexible materials. iAMfootwear will deliver the solution to footwear brands and customise the application for design, performance and cost. The finished shoe can be experienced at Formnext.
