Tinkerine iOS iPad App Brings 3D Printing into the Classroom

Tinkerine™ Studios Ltd. (TSXV: TTD and OTC Pink: TKSTF), Canada's leading manufacturer of desktop 3D printers and 3D printing educational content, today announced the launch of Tinkerine U Training, an educational iPad app.

Tinkerine U Training, a free app is now available on the Apple App Store, is designed for middle/high school teachers and students to use in and out of the classroom as an introduction to 3D printing concepts. Developed by educators and industry experts including Todd Blatt, a noted 3D printing industry pioneer, Tinkerine U Training features four boot camp lessons for 3D modelling and 3D printing.

Tinkerine CEO Eugene Suyu stated, "Tinkerine U Training integrates 3D printing into schools and provides engaging academic content for all ages. We believe that our Tinkerine U Training app will leverage our investment in our industry leading Tinkerine U educational platform that we plan to launch in March 2015. We are confident that this combination of accessibility and content will drive sales in the growing 3D Printing market and the $107 billion online training market."

Liz Arum, Tinkerine's Education Coordinator, noted, "Many schools that are interested in 3D printers also have iPads for their students. The Tinkerine U Training iPad app provides students with a meaningful learning experience that can be used inside and outside of the classroom."

Apple's market share for tablets in the education sector is 94%, and teachers are increasingly using apps to promote course engagement and teamwork. Apps typically offer a superior experience to online web content with increased interactivity and exciting visuals that help engage students.

Tinkerine U Training iPad app also serves as an operating guide for Tinkerine's award-winning Ditto™Pro 3D printer and should drive Tinkerine's brand into the education market. All the learning materials are available at TinkerineU.com for any one to access for free.
