Dyndrite and Renishaw Partner for Higher Performance, Precision Metal-Based Additive Manufacturing

Dyndrite’s Additive Manufacturing Toolkit (AMT) Delivers GPU-Accelerated Preparation Capabilities to Renishaw’s QuantAM Build Processor

Dyndrite™ Corporation ('den-drite') – developer of the general processing unit (GPU)-powered Additive Manufacturing Toolkit (AMT) – today announced a working relationship with Renishaw™ plc (Wotton-under-Edge, Gloucestershire, England), global leader in metal additive manufacturing technology, to integrate the Dyndrite AMT into the company’s QuantAM™ build processor.

Dyndrite AMT enables wide range of enhancements for QuantAM users, including:

Streamlined CAD-to-Print workflow that feeds data to QuantAM and Renishaw machines

Accelerated slicing, build and file preparation with existing Renishaw tools

Ability to handle and process large files

Accelerated latticing and light weighting

Python application programming interface (API) and workflow customizability

Dyndrite's AMT also enables Renishaw to utilize advanced additive simulation solutions in collaboration with other members of Dyndrite’s Developer Council (of which Renishaw is a founding member), including industry leaders Ansys® and Altair™.

“The future of Additive Manufacturing is all about speed – of design iteration, simulation, build preparation and printing to deliver creativity, flexibility, increased part volumes and economical parts,” said Stephen Anderson, Additive Manufacturing Business Manager at Renishaw. “That said, speed cannot come at the cost of quality – we must be able to trust that parts from AM machines are repeatable across builds, machines, factories and countries. To do that, we need to measure as we build and be able to analyze the enormous accompanying data to adapt the next build or even the next layer. Processing that data quickly requires massive computational power – GPU cores and lots of them! Working with Dyndrite core GPU-enhanced technology gives Renishaw customers the potential to accelerate design and simulation, to be able to analyze build data fast and to use that data to control process quality.”
