Siemens updates Simcenter solutions for system simulation

Siemens Digital Industries Software announces the latest version of the Simcenter solutions for system simulation. The solutions are part of the Simcenter software portfolio and enable engineers to develop digital twins before the first physical prototype is available. This optimizes interactions between mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, thermal, electrical and electronic systems. The new Simcenter solutions for system simulation are even more customizable and easier to use. They are part of the Xcelerator portfolio, a comprehensive range of software, services and the application development platform from Siemens.

With the new version, each individual solution has been updated to accelerate innovation, improve collaboration, increase productivity and meet rapidly changing customer and market requirements.

Simcenter Amesim software provides increased accuracy and speed for setup, measurements and simulation results. For example, the improved gas turbine power tool helps reduce modeling effort by up to a factor of 100, accelerating new development.
The new side-by-side installation allows the user to run different software versions of Simcenter Flomaster on the same client. This improves collaboration and increases efficiency. Users can now start new projects, taking advantage of the new features of the current version while retaining approved versions for old projects.
The new version of Simcenter System Analyst enables the automation of model configurations. With a few clicks, users can configure and parameterize a model in the Task Pad.
Simcenter System Architect software optimizes usability with enhanced attributes of simulation templates and predefined submodels.
The Simcenter Webapp Server version now supports Functional Mock-up Units (FMU) in addition to native Simcenter Amesim models. Model owners can generate independent FMU 2.0 for co-simulation within their authoring tool and upload it to the Simcenter Webapp Server.
Simcenter Sysdm software can be linked to Simcenter System Analyst to ensure traceability and consistency of resources shared by simulation architects, domain experts and project engineers.
