Renowned Inventor Unveils Wearable Notification Device, Ditto, to Alleviate the Problem of Missing Calls and Messages or Leaving a Phone Behind

Ditto is Available for Order on Kickstarter; Becomes the Simplest and Most Discreet Way to Stay Connected

Mobile technology company Simple MattersTM today unveiled the world's simplest and most discreet wearable notification device, DittoTM, through a Kickstarter campaign that runs until November 25. The company has engineered the device for mass production and is now looking to raise $100,000 to bring it to consumers everywhere.

Ditto is a very small (size of a thumbprint), sleek clip-on device that notifies you of important calls, messages and notifications, so you don't have to worry about hearing your phone ring or feeling it vibrate. Ditto vibrates whenever someone you've flagged as important tries to contact you. The device also acts as an invisible tether for your phone, alerting you if you accidentally leave your phone behind. Additionally, Ditto can be used as a silent alarm that wakes you up through subtle vibration without disturbing your partner.

"It seems that everyone has left their phone behind at some point, or missed an important call because they couldn't hear their phone ring or feel it vibrate. With Ditto, missed calls and forgotten phones are a thing of the past," Bob Olodort, Ditto inventor and co-founder of Simple Matters, said. "We worked hard in order to take out anything that would make the product complicated, expensive or intrusive. With no buttons, switches, lights, display, connectors, or charging cables, Ditto is the simplest and most discreet way to stay connected."

Ditto can be clipped or placed almost anywhere on your body: a pocket, a waistband, a bra strap, a shirt or elsewhere. Ditto can also be worn on a wristband included with each device. A free app, available for iOS and Android, allows you to create customized notifications for important contacts. It's tiny, ultra lightweight, and waterproof, so it can be worn while at the gym, or even while swimming. Ditto's features include:

Black, white and clear colors
Weighs only 8 grams and measures 22 x 37 x 10mm – the size of a thumbprint
Personalized vibrating notifications from your chosen contacts
Customizable vibrations to identify who the notification is from, or what kind of notification it is – email, text or call
Vibration can be used as a silent wake-up alarm
Alerts you when you move far away from your phone, so you'll know if you've left it behind
Powered by an inexpensive coin cell battery (CR1632 available in drug stores), which lasts for months, automatically sending a notification when it needs to be replaced, removing the hassle of charging, cables and wall chargers
Waterproof up to 1 meter making it suitable for use while swimming
