The Center for Science Teaching and Learning (CSTL) is excited to announce the 2015 Clean Tech Competition. This year, students will be challenged to "Feed the World" by developing an innovative solution to a food-related problem which impacts lives. The Clean Tech Competition is a unique global initiative open to international students for a chance to win prizes up to $10,000.
Competition Details
Teams of 1-3 students ages 15-18 submit written proposals.
Online registration is due in February 2015 and paper submissions must be uploaded by March 2015.
10 Finalist Teams are given a stipend and matched with a STEM Adviser to help turn their proposal into a Prototype.

Prizes
Semi-Finalist Teams are awarded $300, while Finalist Teams prizes range from $1,000 to $10,000. Each Finalist Team can nominate their educational organization for a $1,000 grant. The 1st Place Finalist Team will participate in a Continued Mentorship Program, which will assist them in further developing their ideas and science education.
2014 Recap
Last year the competition focused on "Solution to Pollution", drawing participants from the USA, Singapore, Canada, Ireland and Bulgaria. Past participants have expressed positive experiences with the Clean Tech Competition. "[I've] learned to think critically and come up with innovative and practical solutions," said Ding Yue (Stella) Kee of 2nd Place Team "Anti Ionisers".
