25 Italian companies will fly to Bangkok to take part in the Italian pavilion organised by UCIMA
The 2022 edition of ProPak Asia, the most important automatic packaging machinery exhibition in Asia, will be held from 15 to 18 June at BITEC (Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre).
After a year’s hiatus, the Italian pavilion organised by UCIMA will host 25 companies in an area of almost 600 square metres, making it the largest international group present at the show. This level of participation comes as no surprise considering that exports of Italian technology to Thailand amounted to €46.4 million in 2020, making the country the 30th largest world market for Italian technology.
In addition to ProPak Asia, another three sector exhibitions held in June will feature Italian pavilions organised in collaboration with the Italian Trade Agency ITA: Korea Pack, Expo Pack México and Fispal Tecnologia.
Korea Pack, to be held in the Korea International Exhibition Centre from 14 to 17 June, will have a 90 square metre Italian pavilion hosting 9 companies. On the same dates but on the other side of the world, 18 top Italian companies will be participating in a 180 square metre area at Expo Pack México. The final event will be the Brazilian exhibition Fispal Tecnologia from 21 to 24 June, where the Italian delegation will consist of 15 companies in a 180 square metre floor space.
“Finally we are back on the road again and showcasing Italian excellence all over the world,” commented Ucima chairman Matteo Gentili. “Despite the undeniable problems facing our companies, including raw materials procurement issues and rising energy costs, the prevailing sentiment this year is one of recovery and we are delighted to be able to continue to travel and participate in as many trade fairs as possible.”
