LINPAC Packaging have pledged their support to The Prince of Wales Hospice in Pontefract West Yorkshire, by selecting them as their charity of the year for 2013.
LINPAC Packaging have started as they mean to go on by donating £600 to the Hospice this week, following fundraising by staff at the plant in Featherstone.
Mark Reynolds, Group HSHE and Energy Manager at LINPAC, said:
"We've always supported the Hospice as much as we can, but we wanted to do even more in the community and working closer with the Hospice seemed like the perfect way to do it."
Rachel Warburton, Corporate Fundraiser at the Hospice said: "LINPAC Packaging have always been a great support to the Hospice and we're delighted that they have chosen us as their charity of the year to help us even further.
Fundraising at work can be a fantastic team builder and helps us support our patients and their families even further."
