BOBST golf day takes fundraising total over £70,000 for injured military personnel charity, DMRC

A remarkable £6,500 was raised during the annual charity golf day hosted by Bobst UK & Ireland for the Defence Medical Rehabilitation Centre (DMRC) Benevolent Fund.

The charity golf day was once again hosted at the Redditch Golf Club supported by event sponsors as 17 teams comprising suppliers, partners, customers and BOBST employees played the course whereafter a two-course dinner, raffle and auction took place.
Over the past five years BOBST, a leading supplier of equipment and services to packaging and label manufacturers in the folding carton, corrugated board and flexible materials industries, has raised over £6,750 for the DMRC Benevolent Fund through a range of events and fundraising activities.
As a volunteer-run charity, the DMRC provides holistic, occupational and social integration opportunities for serving military patients at the Ministry of Defence facility, Stanford Hall, in the Midlands.
Doris Morrison, HR Manager at Bobst UK & Ireland, said: “This charity golf day has become a highlight of our social calendar and its success is thanks to the continued support of our customers and suppliers.
“It is great being able to raise funds for this charity which does sterling work in assisting serving armed forces personnel with specialist goods and services while undertaking mental and physical rehabilitation programmes.”
Next year’s event is already being planned for June 29, and anyone interested in taking part and supporting the fantastic DMRC Benevolent Fund cause should get in touch and book a place early!
