ο The exhibition will remain at the NEC in Birmingham, located across Halls 7 and 8

ο Organisers say the switch to a weekend day will open up the show to visitors who cannot attend during the week

ο Vivid Laminating Technologies has become the first company to book its stand for 2020

Organisers of The Print Show have revealed that the 2020 edition of the annual event will switch to a run of Sunday to Tuesday, taking place from September 27th to 29th in Halls 7 and 8 at the NEC in Birmingham.
By making the switch, organisers say that the event will become more flexible for members of the industry who may not be able to get out of the office to visit on a weekday to attend.
The dedicated print event will remain at the NEC in Birmingham, providing both exhibitors and visitors with a gathering point central to the whole of the UK.
Chris Davies, event director for The Print Show, explains that the decision to move the event was based on detailed feedback from visitors to previous shows.
“We've had great success staging the show during the working week, but the fact is that some members of the industry aren't able to visit as they are too busy in the office or workshop in the week,” Davies says.
“By moving the opening day to a Sunday, we're opening up The Print Show to a whole new audience and becoming much more flexible. This is really important to us as we seek to evolve the show year on year.”
The move has seemingly proved a hit already, with finishing technology leader Vivid Laminating Technologies booking its stand for The Print Show 2020. Vivid is the first name on the floorplan for next year and is a familiar name to visitors, having exhibited at each edition of the show since its launch in 2015.
“On the back of another busy show this year, we've had an incredible response from exhibitors, with plenty saying they are looking to book for the show next year,” Davies says.
“From our initial conversations with exhibitors, the move to a Sunday to Tuesday event will suit all parties and offers something completely different to visitors.
“We look forward to revealing even more exciting changes to The Print Show in the coming weeks and months.”
Confirmation of the dates for 2020 comes on the back of a successful event this year, which featured a host of major names from across the global print spectrum.
A total of 5,445 people were in attendance at the NEC from September 17th to 19th to find out about the latest in print and related technologies.
Those in attendance were also treated to unforgettable Q&A sessions with three celebrity speakers in the form of Sir Ranulph Fiennes OBE, Chris Eubank and Gregg Wallace. Visitors also had the opportunity to have their photo taken with each celebrity and take home an autographed piece of personalised print as a special memento for the day.
The Print Show 2019 also proved a big hit with exhibitors, with many coming forward to speak about their success over the three days.
