IPIA cooks up ‘Big Breakfasts’ to satisfy hunger for knowledge on combining print and digital

86%* of marketers crave advice; new fortnightly event helps serve it up

The Independent Print Industries Association’s (IPIA) new fortnightly Big Breakfast events aim to inspire and inform agencies, marketers − indeed printers themselves − on effective and innovative ways to combine print and digital. The inaugural event took place on March 11 using the Remo app and enabled some 100 delegates to network and hear Peter Gunning of Grafenia reflect on ‘WTF happened in 2020’.

“We know from Canon Europe’s recent EMEA research that 80%* of senior marketing decision-makers are thirsty for knowledge on new print approaches and innovations to use in multichannel campaigns,” says Sharron Mahony, marketing & events manager at the IPIA.
“With no live events happening imminently, it’s hard to keep up with new developments so we created the Big Breakfast format to facilitate a more consultative environment for buyers and providers,” suggests Sharron.
Neil Bather from Transeo Media attended the first event and really enjoyed it; he found the Remo platform a refreshing format. Alice Murray from Fujifilm felt there was a really good energy throughout the virtual room.
“With 75%* of marketing decision-makers wanting more consultative relationships with their print service provider (PSP), the interaction achievable through the Remo platform makes the Big Breakfasts a great place to start conversations,” says Sharron.
The Big Breakfasts run every fortnight from 8.30am to 9.30am and are free to attend; tickets can be booked through https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/the-ipia-big-breakfast-tickets-140287659165. The next event on Wednesday March 24 sees Mark Davies of Whistl share thinking on why print should be included in marketing.
