In response to media inquiries about the potential merger of Printing Industries of America and the Special Graphics Imaging Association (SGIA), PIA can confirm that its board of directors unanimously passed a resolution to merge with SGIA on November 17, 2019.
The merger would not take effect until May 1, 2020 and requires approval from both PIA members and the SGIA Board of Directors. PIA issued proxy ballots this week to its eligible voting members in which they have the opportunity to approve or disapprove the proposed resolution.
