The family business Bizerba completes its supervisory board with two proven experts. Dr. Daniel Holz (Managing Director of SAP Deutschland SE & Co. KG) and Dr. Jürgen Geißinger (independent entrepreneur and former Chairman of the Executive Board of Schaeffler AG) are now members of the company's highest supervisory body. At the same time, Dr. Eberhard Veit was elected Chairman of the Supervisory Board.
The Supervisory Board of the family-run technology and solution provider Bizerba consists of five members representing the owner family Kraut. Mr. Andreas W. Kraut is the fifth generation of the Kraut family to lead the company as Chairman of the Executive Board.
For personal reasons, the previous Chairman of the Supervisory Board Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Michael Ungethüm resigned at the end of 2019 for personal reasons. Since 2010, he has been able to accompany the company in this function significantly and very successfully on its growth and expansion course.
Dr. Eberhard Veit has already been Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board since 2011 and, as successor to Prof. Dr. Dr. Dr. h.c. Michael Ungethüm as Chairman of the Supervisory Board. As Festo's long-standing Chairman of the Management Board, he is considered a proven industry expert with a distinct competence in new technologies and Industry 4.0.
With his experience and expertise in the areas of digitisation, software and sales, Dr. Daniel Holz will be able to provide competent advice to Bizerba in the development of new digital business models and in the transformation process towards a software-oriented company.
With Dr. Jürgen Geißinger, the independent entrepreneur and former Chairman of the Board of Schaeffler AG, a management and operations expert from the industrial and automotive sectors is joining the Supervisory Board of Bizerba. The strategic optimization of processes, particularly in the area of production, is becoming increasingly important in times of global supply chain structures.
Dr. Jochen Wolf, Spokesman of the Management Board of BWK GmbH Unternehmensbeteiligungsgesellschaft, remains on the Supervisory Board.
Ms Frigga Kraut also remains a member of the Supervisory Board as Deputy Chairwoman and is present there as head of the owner family.
In this new composition, the Supervisory Board is very well placed to provide important impetus for the long-term corporate strategy.
