Reorganisation at SAUERESSIG New umbrella brand strengthens uniform market presence

In the course of an internal reorganization, Matthews International Corporation forms the new umbrella brand SAUERESSIG Group. With immediate effect, all activities from the Packaging, Surfaces, Rollers, Engineering and Elastomers divisions will be combined.

As a leading international provider of services along the pre-press stage as well as rotary tools for gravure and embossing applications, flexo printing and special machine construction, the company has extensive expertise in five different business areas, which appear as separate sub-brands under the umbrella of the SAUERESSIG Group. "Combining the business areas and forming a common umbrella brand enables us and our customers to achieve an even higher degree of focus and concentration," explains Markus Pennekamp, Managing Director SAUERESSIG Group.
The restructuring of the business areas also entails an adjustment of existing brands: The American company FROST, for example, will be integrated into the SAUERESSIG Packaging division. All activities in the area of surface finishing, previously combined under the brand SAUERESSIG UNGRICHT, will become SAUERESSIG Surfaces. Furthermore, the two SCHAWK! sites in Vreden and Grenzach-Wyhlen will be fully integrated into the new umbrella brand and will appear on the market as SAUERESSIG Elastomers in the future. All other national and international locations of SCHAWK! remain unaffected by this step.
SAUERESSIG Group - Power your Ideas
The new umbrella brand combines the sub-brands under itself, but the existing SAUERESSIG logo remains. "Our five business units are only the visible part of our brand. The actual core is the brand promise. It puts our customers at the centre and shows how we want to move them forward," says Mariella Bohlmeier, Head of Brand & Marketing. This message is made clear with the new claim Power your Ideas. It's about innovative ideas with and for customers, trend-setting developments and about actively shaping the market. This is underlined with a new corporate design.
With currently thirteen international locations, the SAUERESSIG Group has a strong global network. The worldwide presence enables the optimal development and implementation of international projects at all times, with customer orientation and service being the top priority. "This is a core idea that is firmly anchored in our company and unites us as a group - regardless of brand, company name or location," says Pennekamp. "The reorganization enables us to react in the best possible way to future-oriented developments and to make optimum use of the synergies within the group". The business orientation and production activities at the individual locations remain unaffected by this step.
