ONLINEPRINTERS strengthens its umbrella brand in its home market

German brand diedruckerei.de is replaced

Since July, the online printing company ONLINEPRINTERS has also been operating in Germany under its international brand name only. Previously, the company operated in its home market under the brand "diedruckerei.de". Founder and online printing pioneer Walter Meyer took his first webshop online under this domain in 2004, thus laying the foundation for the success of the current corporate group.
Since 2009, the company has also been active abroad under the brand ONLINEPRINTERS. The internationalisation of the e-commerce sector initially took place with an English language shop for all foreign customers. The company now operates 22 online shops, through which business customers from practically all over Europe can order printed matter for their advertising and marketing activities. ONLINEPRINTERS is thus one of the online printing companies with the greatest variety of country-specific shops in Europe. Besides Germany, the most important country markets include Denmark, France, Great Britain, Spain, Italy and the Netherlands.
Brand consolidation takes place on the basis of good brand awareness
Roland Keppler, CEO of the ONLINEPRINTERS Group, sees the new brand orientation as a further strengthening of the international ONLINEPRINTERS brand, which has already established itself in Germany. He says: "Market analyses in advance have shown us that our German customers already perceive us under the brand name Onlineprinters, with which we also operate in other German-speaking regions such as Austria and Switzerland. The switch to onlineprinters.de has already been completed. "All our customers have access to a selection of meanwhile 5,000 products via our online shops, most of which we manufacture at our own production sites with a high demand for quality and speed. In Germany, our customers regularly benefit from additional services, including the option of ordering a mailing service or brochure distribution with just a few clicks," explains Christian Würst, Managing Director and Chief Commercial Officer of the ONLINEPRINTERS Group.
Other brands of the corporate group
With the acquisition of online printing plants in Great Britain, Denmark and Spain, ONLINEPRINTERS has been strengthening its market position in important country markets since 2017 in addition to its own online shops. The companies Solopress, LaserTryk and CopySell have retained their respective brand identities after the takeover. "Our subsidiaries are strong brands in their country markets, which complement our ONLINEPRINTERS umbrella brand in a meaningful way. We see this multi-brand strategy outside of our home market as positively reinforcing brand effects that we intend to continue to exploit in the future," emphasises Roland Keppler.
