Ricoh becomes one of the largest AV and workplace integrators in Europe through the acquisition of DataVision

Customers will have access to an even wider range of technology for conference rooms, workstations and digital collaboration. The acquisition follows Ricoh's strategy to accelerate its transformation into a Digital Services Company.

Ricoh strengthens its technology offering for meeting rooms, workstations and digital collaboration through the acquisition of DataVision.
Founded in 1995, DataVision is a leading integrator of audio-visual (AV), conference room and workspace technologies. DataVision employs over 100 people and is represented at eight service and sales locations in Germany. The head office is located in Düsseldorf. DataVision specialises in the design and integration of modern conference room and workplace solutions, including Unified Communications & Collaboration (UCC), audiovisual (AV) technologies and solutions for workplace and meeting room management. The company has over 1,300 customers and serves 15 of the 30 DAX-listed companies in Germany as well as numerous large ministries. In addition, DataVision has numerous strategic partnerships in the area of collaboration, AV and workplace technology. For example, the company was recently named by Microsoft as one of their "Global Partners of the Year 2020" and is also their preferred partner for Microsoft Teams Rooms Premium in Germany.
As a result of this acquisition, Ricoh customers throughout Europe will benefit from DataVision's vast experience and expertise in the business and technology areas mentioned above. In addition, they will gain access to an even broader portfolio of products, software and services and also benefit from the advantages and innovation of working with strategic partners such as Microsoft.
DataVision's customers benefit from Ricoh's global reach, financial strength and integrated service infrastructure. They also gain access to products and solutions from Ricoh's Communication Services portfolio and other Ricoh business areas, such as Managed Document Services, IT Services, Business Process Services and Production Printing Services.
DataVision will continue as a wholly owned subsidiary of Ricoh under its existing company name - DataVision Deutschland GmbH.
Edward Hamilton, Vice President Communication Services, Ricoh Europe, says: "A number of factors were key in our decision to acquire DataVision. These include their leading market position, their extensive expertise and experience and our common synergies in terms of our customer base, corporate culture and strategy. This acquisition creates a strong foundation for our continued growth in Europe and is a key pillar in our transformation to a Digital Services Company. Most importantly, it will help us to support our customers more effectively in their own digital transformation.
David Mills, CEO, Ricoh Europe, said: "This move represents a significant development for the market and an important expansion for our Communication Services division, both in Germany and on a European level. It is crucial that as a result we can offer our customers solutions for even better collaboration at intelligent and secure workplaces".
Jochen Roggenkämper, Managing Director of DataVision says: "We are excited and very much looking forward to the future. Ricoh's global reach and infrastructure and its extensive experience in the end-to-end implementation of Managed Services, combined with our experience and expertise in AV, UCC and Workplace Management, will ensure that we can provide our customers in Germany and Europe with even better and more comprehensive support when it comes to integrating solutions for modern and collaborative work environments".
