The plans for a new Avery Dennison branch in Schwelm were announced. Here Avery Dennison customers will receive sales advice, technical support and training. In addition, new laboratories for application technology will be set up.
The new office will be created following the sale of the former factory premises to developer Hillwood Europe. Previously, the production site of Avery Dennison (Label and Graphic Materials) was located here. Production at this site will end in 2019. Since then, Avery Dennison Label and Graphics Materials has used it as an office location for sales & administration.
Oliver Guenther, Senior Director Marketing and Channel Strategy, Graphics Solutions Europe, Avery Dennison, explained that the site was only sold after careful selection of the most suitable buyer. "Schwelm is an important resource for us and we have many longstanding customers in the region, as well as a highly competent team. With the planned new building, which will be realised by Hillwood Europe, we will have modern office space for our colleagues in sales and administration.
In addition, there will be a laboratory for application technology and a training centre. Customers will be able to deepen their knowledge there and obtain certification for vehicle and building foiling projects.
"Innovation in the label and graphic film sector is at the heart of our operations and this new facility will enable us to continue to develop world-class products and solutions, such as our popular Supreme Wrapping™ automotive film, our new range of window films and the growing collection of solutions for building applications.
Avery Dennison and Hillwood are currently in discussions with the City of Schwelm to prepare for planning permission and building applications. Hillwood plans to develop additional rental space at the site. In accordance with Hillwood's core competence, the construction of modern, flexible commercial and industrial areas is planned.
