Sharp creates new European IT services division

Sharp Europe today announces the creation of a new European IT services division, having previously acquired ITpoint AG (ITP), a leading Swiss IT services company.

Sharp Europe today announces the formation of a new European IT services division following its acquisition of ITpoint AG (ITP), a leading Swiss IT services company offering a comprehensive portfolio of integrated solutions and managed services for the workplace. This acquisition further expands Sharp's services offering and follows on from its successful acquisition of Complete I.T. (CIT) in 2019, Sharp's first UK-based IT services company. The creation of the European IT Services business underlines Sharp's status as a provider of comprehensive digital transformation solutions.
Colin Blumenthal to head new IT services business unit
The business unit will be led by CIT founder Colin Blumenthal, who has been appointed as the new Vice President IT Services Europe. Colin Blumenthal explains, "This is an important strategic milestone that significantly advances Sharp in Europe and allows us to continue to invest. It will allow us to focus on expanding our service portfolio to meet the changing needs of our current and future customers. The expansion of the new business is a top priority for us and we look forward to delivering real value to our customers across Europe with the new offerings."
New IT services helpdesk supports national and international clients
As part of its IT services offering, Sharp has established a pan-European IT services helpdesk, the European Technology Support Centre (ETSC) in Warsaw. In a multilingual helpdesk support for IT services, Sharp employees are available to customers around the clock. Together with local branches, the ETSC supports the rapidly growing number of national and multinational customers with various IT services, from cyber security to active system monitoring. This means that even minor problems can be detected and fixed before they lead to major complications. This gives customers security and the freedom to concentrate on their actual business.
With the new IT services division, Sharp is able to expand its MFP, display, ePoS and laptop portfolio with new smart office services and extend the value chain of its solutions.
