TA Triumph-Adler closes the 2021/2022 financial year with slight growth and positive result

TA Triumph-Adler GmbH closed the 2021/2022 financial year, which ended on 31 March 2022, with total revenue of €285.5 million. Despite the difficult global environment, this represents growth of 3.6 per cent. A slight increase compared to the previous year, which was also affected by the impact of the Corona pandemic. Profit was not as strong as expected, but TA Triumph-Adler was still able to close the financial year with a positive result.

As expected, TA Triumph-Adler also continued to feel the effects of the global Corona pandemic in the past financial year. "Last year we had to deal with the effects of the pandemic, which primarily meant a shortage of raw materials, disrupted supply chains and increased delivery costs. This created major challenges in all channels, which we mastered with a great team performance and by setting the right priorities. In view of the aforementioned general conditions, we can therefore be satisfied with the result," says Christopher Rheidt, Managing Director of TA Triumph-Adler, assessing the past financial year.
Turnover in direct sales under the TA Triumph-Adler brand fell slightly compared to the previous year. Nevertheless, the market in the DACH region and the Czech Republic is proving to be very robust: the company's direct sales are impressing with a record level of incoming orders. The number of "Machines in Field" (MiF) - the contractually bound printing and copying systems used by customers - was again slightly increased in the 2021/2022 business year. The print volume was also stable once again and remained at the previous year's level. Due to the increased MiF, the Professional Service area was also able to achieve noticeable growth in turnover.
Software solutions and production printing establish themselves, UTAX Group achieves annual targets
The newer business areas - ECM & ICT as well as Production Printing - are also convincing with a growing share in the company's success. The company is particularly satisfied with the success of its first own production printing system, the TA Pro 15050c.
The UTAX Group was also affected by the general conditions, but was able to achieve a very good result in view of the challenges and reach the annual targets set. This applies equally to the subsidiary UTAX UK, which was also able to achieve its annual target in the 21/22 financial year in a market particularly affected by the pandemic.
Holistic sales strategy works
Christopher Rheidt: "Thanks to our two-channel strategy, we were able to achieve a good result in the last financial year, even if we would of course have wished for more. For the new business year, too, we must continue to 'fly by the seat of our pants', because the general conditions remain unchanged. Another challenge will be to find answers to the shortage of skilled workers. We are sticking to our long-term strategy, but it will still be necessary to take short-term measures as answers to the challenges this year. As last year, serious forecasts on delivery delays remain difficult, yet we strive to be as reliable as possible and continue to be transparent. Above all, we thank our partners and customers for their loyal cooperation during these times."
