Antonuccio To Lead Diebold's Growth Strategy In Middle East And Africa, As Well As Partner And Alliance Efforts In EMEA

Diebold, Incorporated (NYSE: DBD) today announced Antonio Antonuccio has been named vice president, Middle East and Africa, alliance and channel management. An experienced professional in leading complex organizations to enhance sales effectiveness and accelerate growth, Antonuccio will direct overall Diebold's strategy, business development and sales in the Middle East and Africa markets. Additionally, he will work to grow the company's footprint in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) by driving innovative collaboration and go-to-market strategies with partners and distributors throughout the region.

Antonuccio has held leadership positions at several global high tech and service-oriented companies including Hewlett-Packard (HP) and Bain & Company. While at HP, he served as chief operating officer of Injazat Data Systems, an HP joint venture with headquarters in Abu Dhabi. Prior to that, he spent more than 10 years in strategy consulting with Bain & Company, where he lastly served as associate partner within the firm's IT, telco and media practice.

Antonuccio received a bachelor's degree in economics and business administration from Luigi Bocconi University in Milan, Italy, and a master's degree in business administration from MIT-Sloan School of Management, Cambridge, Mass.
