Marcus Silber takes over as Head of Product Management
With an additional MIS/ERP expert in consulting and the replacement of its product management, the Koblenz software house Obility supports the increasing interest of the market in its market-leading e-business print platform and sets the course for its further growth.
MIS/ERP expert Frank Burrenkopf (49) will join the company's consulting team on January 1, 2020. The trained printer and industrial foreman has been at home in the printing industry for more than 30 years. Over the past 20 years, he has continuously filled management positions in production and administration, most recently 16 years at Kürten & Lechner GmbH in Bergisch Gladbach in the IT and Controlling department. This company is one of the leading large format printers in Germany.
"With the comprehensive functionality of the web-based, platform-independent e-business print platform for the automation of print production processes, Obility has a unique selling point in the market. I am fascinated by the task of, among other things, bringing the unique possibilities of the Obility solution to large-format printers in German-speaking countries and accompanying them in the digital transformation of their processes into the industry 4.0 age", Burrenkopf describes his new field of action. "In particular, the automatic calculation and determination of optimal production paths with the innovative expert system of the new PRINTMANAGER opens up enormous potential for large-format printers to increase efficiency and implement innovative business concepts in interaction with the webshop and Smart MIS/ERP functionality of the e-business print platform.
Also effective January 1, 2020, Marcus Silber (37) will take over as Head of Obility Product Management. Since joining Obility in mid-2017, the Smart MIS, e-commerce and web-to-print expert has headed the company's consulting activities. Since then, he has also been supporting Obility chief developer Werner Jung with his comprehensive know-how on all aspects of these topics. He will do the same in his new function. "With our latest innovations, Obility is increasingly creating a portfolio of finished products that customers can implement comparatively quickly and easily - although we can of course adapt these solutions to individual requirements if required. Examples include our innovative PRINTMANAGER, our recently introduced warehouse and material flow control system and our newly developed production planning system with planning board and integrated production data acquisition, which will shortly be launched on the market. The development into a provider of turnkey solutions requires an efficient product management", says Silber, formulating his new task.
