Dr. Michael Grosse becomes CEO of Syntegon Technology

- Taking up office on 1 March 2020

- Current CEO Dr. Stefan König leaves Syntegon Technology
- Management team of Syntegon Technology is additionally expanded: Dr. Walter Bickel becomes managing director

Syntegon Technology, one of the world's leading suppliers of process and packaging technology, has appointed Dr. Michael Grosse as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Michael Grosse was most recently a member of the board of Tetra Pak. He has relevant leadership and management experience in the international mechanical engineering industry, particularly in the areas of process and packaging technology for the food industry. Michael Grosse joined Tetra Pak in 2003 and was responsible for the expansion of the global service business. He is also an expert in the development of new products and process technologies. Thanks to his many years of experience, he has an extensive network and close connections to the food industry. Before joining Tetra Pak, he held several management positions in the automotive industry. Michael Grosse will take up his post with effect from 1 March 2020.
He succeeds Dr. Stefan König, who worked for Bosch for a total of 24 years, around ten of which were spent at Syntegon Technology and Bosch Packaging Technology. Since 2017, he has led the company as CEO. In 2019, he was responsible for the spin-off of the company from Robert Bosch GmbH and its subsequent sale.

In addition to the change at CEO level, Dr. Walter Bickel will be appointed as a further managing director of Syntegon Technology as of March 1, 2020. In his new position, he will be instrumental in driving forward the transformation process of the group. Dr. Walter Bickel has many years of management experience in top management positions in the mechanical engineering and automotive industries. He is a proven expert in the implementation of holistic profit improvement programs, the restructuring of business models and the development of growth potential. Between 2014 and 2018 he was CEO and CFO for the international film manufacturer Treofan. Prior to this time, he was COO and subsequently a member of the Supervisory Board of robot manufacturer KUKA and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Maillefer Group.
