Patrick van Welij (38) was appointed Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Managing Director of TÜV SÜD Product Service GmbH at the beginning of the year.
Over the past five years, Patrick van Welij has been Director Mergers & Acquisitions at TÜV SÜD AG, where he successfully managed several international projects of acquisitions and divestments. Prior to that, he worked in corporate finance and mergers & acquisitions at several German and American banks. Van Welij holds a Master's degree in International Business from the School of Business and Economics at the University of Maastricht in the Netherlands.
In his new role, van Welij will be responsible for Finance and Controlling, General Administration, IT and Risk Management at TÜV SÜD Product Service GmbH in Germany. "I would like to contribute to implementing our strategy of profitable growth and continue to position the company so well in the market", says van Welij about his future responsibilities. He thus completes the management team alongside CEO Dr Peter Havel, who is responsible for operations, and CTO Dr Jens Butenandt, who is in charge of certification, quality management and divisional functions.
