Dieter Simon leaves Prinovis

At the end of August 2020, Dieter Simon, Managing Director of Prinovis GmbH and Head of the Nuremberg location, will leave the company in mutual consultation in order to reorient himself professionally. The background for this decision is the imminent closure of the Nuremberg location at the end of April 2021. Dieter Simon's tasks at the Nuremberg location will be taken over by Lars Meusburger on 1 April 2020, in addition to his standard tasks as Head of Purchasing at Prinovis Germany. With the retirement of Dieter Simon, Cord Schuster, Head of the Prinovis locations in Ahrensburg and Dresden, will be appointed Managing Director of Prinovis GmbH.

Dieter Simon returned to the gravure printing subsidiary of the Bertelsmann Printing Group in Nuremberg in 2017 as Site Manager and Member of the Management Board, after having already worked for Bertelsmann in various functions from 1992 to 2008. After returning to Prinovis, he managed to develop and implement an extremely ambitious efficiency program together with the workforce in a very short time. "This has enabled us to continue operating the Nuremberg site in an extremely difficult market environment until the end of April 2021," explains Niklas Darijtschuk, COO of the Bertelsmann Printing Group. Darijtschuk continues: "In addition, as chairman of various expert groups at the production manager level, he has provided important impulses to improve cross-company cooperation between the individual BPG companies. I would like to thank him now for his outstanding work and wish him all the best for the future.
Until his departure in late summer, Dieter Simon will continue to work on special group-wide projects aimed at improving the networking and operational excellence of the newly formed Bertelsmann Printing Group.
