New CEO for international print media specialist: Industry expert Peter Wahsner takes over management of the Sihl Group

The Sihl Group, a leading international producer of printable media in the fast-growing global digital printing market with locations in Switzerland, Germany and the USA, has a new CEO: On May 18, 2020, Peter K. Wahsner will take up his position at the helm of Sihl. He has extensive industry and management experience and is expected to drive the further development of the company.
Until the end of 2019, Peter K. Wahsner was CEO of the Infiana Group, a leading global manufacturer of specialty films. Following the spin-off from the Finnish packaging group Huhtamaki and with the financial commitment of Deutsche Beteiligungs AG as investor, Infiana developed under his leadership into a global market leader with 900 employees and sales of approximately 200 MEUR. At the end of 2019, Infiana was successfully resold to the British investor Pamplona.
Prior to this, Peter K. Wahsner spent several years in management positions at Huhtamaki, the British packaging company Rexam, General Electric Plastics and BASF. Stays in the Netherlands, England and the USA have shaped his career as a global leader.
The entire Board of Directors of the Sihl Group is delighted with the new CEO, who brings with him broad expertise in internationalization, strategy and change management, as well as the pleasure of taking people along enthusiastically for a cause. Both will help the Group to set the right course now to regain full momentum and further develop Sihl globally.
