Henning Ohlsson, Epson Germany Managing Director and Director of Sustainability Epson Europe, has been awarded for his extraordinary activities in the areas of sustainability, human rights and corporate governance. Henning Ohlsson, ranked 9th, is the best placed German manager in this global ranking of the top 100 CSR leaders by the Canadian company Assent Compliance. The ranking includes the world's top 100 personalities who are committed to sustainability and fair and ethical business.

Sustainable business is not a trend for the global technology group, but rather the continuation of a long-standing commitment to the environment and society, which also stems from the company's Japanese roots. Sustainability is thus part of the Epson DNA, it is deeply anchored in the management philosophy. This includes paying attention to every aspect of the organisation. This includes ensuring that products are manufactured exclusively in Epson's own factories - the only way to ensure that high environmental, labour and social standards are maintained during production. This is an exception to the usual course on external production in the IT industry. In order to counteract climate change, Epson developed its environmental vision 2050 in 2008 as a long-term guideline for environmental measures. In doing so, Epson considers the entire manufacturing chain in order to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
