Apprentices are also being sought for 2021 - taster days for all interested parties

A total of 22 apprentices are currently in training. Apprentices are also being sought again for 2021. The best way to get an insight into the individual apprenticeships is to attend the taster days at Smurfit Kappa Nettingsdorf. Registrations for these are possible until the end of January 2021.

Michelle Forster and Eldone Kerqeli, the first two female paper technician apprentices at Smurfit Kappa Nettingsdorf, prove that technical apprenticeships are also interesting for girls. Since the beginning of September, the two have been in their first year of training, together with two other metalworking technician apprentices and two electrical engineering apprentices. Thanks to the possibility of a taster apprenticeship, interested young people can gain an authentic insight into the areas of responsibility of the respective apprenticeship trade. For 2021, a total of four apprenticeship places will be allocated - two as metal technicians and two as paper technicians. Registrations for these are still possible until 31 January 2021. The employment relationship then begins on 1 September 2021.
"We deliberately keep the number of apprentices manageable, because the personal and intensive support of the young employees and integration into the company's internal processes is a great and important concern for us. This individual support creates a family working atmosphere, which is very important to us", Dr. Gerald Heidl, head of human resources at Smurfit Kappa Nettingsdorf, describes the intention.

In addition, there are attractive incentives for special commitment at the vocational school and a successful completion of the apprenticeship," says Dr. Gerald Heidl.
