PolyOne Corporation (NYSE: POL), a premier provider of specialized polymer materials, services and solutions, today announced that Javier A. Echevarria, vice president, Global Sourcing, will lead the company in its sourcing initiatives, reporting directly to Robert M. Patterson, president and chief executive officer, PolyOne Corporation. In this capacity, he replaces Thomas J. Kedrowski who is no longer with the company.
Mr. Echevarria joined PolyOne in May 2014 from The Procter & Gamble Company (P&G) where he served in several ascending positions of global responsibility. While he was at P&G, he led purchasing teams for various business units in Mexico, Switzerland and Venezuela, before becoming associate director of external supply solutions at P&G's world headquarters in Cincinnati, Ohio.
"Javier has the experience and ability to create progressive sourcing strategies and deliver on their execution," said Mr. Patterson. "At PolyOne, Javier has increased collaboration among our businesses and with our strategic suppliers. Mr. Echevarria earned a bachelor's of science in managerial economics and marketing from Bentley University in Waltham, Massachusetts and a master's of business administration from the University of Chicago, Booth School of Business in Chicago, Illinois.
