AWT System to market, deliver and support CCI NewsGate in China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia.
CCI is pleased to announce the appointment of AWT System as its exclusive strategic business partner for China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia. The agreement will see AWT System market, deliver and support CCI NewsGate and associated solutions including online and digital.
AWT System has an office network that includes Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore and Taiwan plus a representative office in ZhuHai, China. Their profile in the region coupled with an experienced IT and editorial support organization were important factors in AWT System being appointed as exclusive partners.
It was not only their office network and support infrastructure that attracted CCI to them in the first place; it was primarily their in-depth industry knowledge.
Commenting on the agreement, Mr. Dan Korsgaard, CEO of CCI said, "This partnership is not only an exciting opportunity for both organizations but primarily it's about what it will offer media organizations in these markets. Combining local knowledge and expertise offered by AWT System with a powerful solution like CCI NewsGate has to be a win-win for any newsroom. At CCI we are continually looking to expand our global reach and with the Chinese language soon to become available with CCI NewsGate, we look forward to a long and fruitful partnership with AWT System as we look to broaden our markets in China and South East Asia."
AWT System brings more than 20 years industry experience to the partnership that has seen them gain a dominant market share in Asia's Chinese publishing industry. There are currently around 30 daily newspaper and 30 magazines using AWT's editorial and advertising systems to publish over 1,000 news pages and generate more than 10,000 ads everyday.
With publishers having to quickly adapt to an ever-changing media landscape, AWT System believed the time was right for them to form a partnership rather than continue development of their editorial solution. Spokesperson and Chief Consultant at AWT System Terrence Fok, commenting on the partnership with CCI said, "Make no mistake about it, this is not a reseller agreement. This is a genuine partnership agreement we've entered into with CCI that will see us working very closely with them. Yet the main beneficiaries will undoubtedly be the media companies in the markets we serve."
A major focus for AWT System and CCI will be Publish Asia in Hong Kong, 23-25 April. The conference will be the first time the organizations will appear together at a regional conference.
