Fespa is growing and growing. There is something for almost everyone in the industry this year too. What stands out above all is that, in addition to digital print and signage products, almost all companies have a certain touch of AI to ensure smooth production.
Amsterdam, the Dutch city of tulips, canals and museums with countless works of art, will once again be hosting the Fespa Global Print Expo. And this time there is more on offer than ever before: in addition to the European Sign Expo and the Personalisation Experience, the new Sportswear Pro-Conference and the World Wrap Masters will also take place. The conferences and individual areas of Fespa have been expanded once again. They offer sessions for almost every business and every application. There is something for everyone to find and learn. At the Personalisation Experience, for example, there is the new Personalise Make Wear smart factory (smart factory for the personalisation of wearable clothing).
In addition to sustainability, this Fespa Global Print Expo will focus on learning in particular. In addition to training and tips on which fabrics, materials and media can be printed and how the best results can be achieved, there will also be various business-related topics. Business management is also on the programme and how companies can position themselves sustainably and healthily for the future by expanding their portfolio.
The World Wrap Masters should also be mentioned in this context. In addition to the competition, training workshops and demonstrations will also take place here. The topic "How do I do what and how do I achieve the best results" takes centre stage here.
Michael Ryan, Director of FESPA Global Print Expo, comments: "By attending our educational events, visitors are guaranteed to expand their industry knowledge, learn about the latest industry trends and be inspired by other printers and visual communicators. Our brand new Digital Signage Lounge and Personalise Make Wear events will be insightful and impactful, while our popular Sustainability Spotlight and World Wrap Masters events will be attended by both first-time and returning visitors."
The popular Sustainability Spotlight returns this year. The feature will highlight more than one hundred environmentally conscious graphic and textile substrates and give visitors the opportunity to learn more about sustainable production processes. Natural and cellulosic fibre types will be on display which make shorter runs in particular more cost effective. African and Asian companies in particular will also be addressed here, as they have less access to these materials than their European counterparts.
The topic of AI in particular will also play a role in Amsterdam. It has already found its way into the software sector and many of the printing presses are already working with AI. In addition to preventive maintenance, the amount of consumables used during and after printing is a decisive factor for business success. In the area of software, it will be interesting to see to what extent AI algorithms find their way into print shops.
