Singapore Press Holdings (Singapore), ABP (India), and Al Nisr Publishing (UAE) were among the winners of the 12th annual Asian Media Awards presented in a gala ceremony in Bangalore (India) by the World Association of Newspapers and News Publishers (WAN-IFRA).
The awards, which have become the most prestigious recognition of outstanding work in the fields of printing quality, design, infographics, photography , editorial content, newspaper marketing and community service among media houses in Asia Pacific, South Asia and Middle East, were presented to nearly 50 companies, publications and individuals. The ceremony was held at Publish Asia 2013 and WAN-IFRA Expo India which gathered over 600 media executives from 25 countries.
The Best in Print Awards were sponsored by manroland web systems. The Awards ceremony was sponsored by Ninestars, Technova, Malayala Manorama, Deccan Herald and Manipal Media Group.
Publish Asia is WAN-IFRA's premier conference in the Asia-Pacific region. It is the second time this year that this event is hosted in India following Chennai in 2009. The Asia Media Awards gala dinner is one of the highlights of the events.
