Goss Graphic Systems (China) Co., Ltd. (GGSC) is pursuing expansion of global activities with an advanced WISPRINT product and service solutions.
WISPRINT Brand
Peter Kirwan joined GGSC as Director Global Sales 3 years ago and subsequently established an International Business Division under the WISPRINT brand. GGSC has steadily increased its global footprint by appointing a network of first-class agents for sales and service in many parts of the world. With growing success in both local and international markets, GGSC has now taken a further step by increasing its position in the global market by establishing a partner company, WISPRINT Europe GmbH, in Augsburg, Germany plus expanding operations in Australia. WISPRINT operations will provide industry leading project management, service and support, whether for new press installations, enhancements or regular maintenance for the already large installed base.
WISPRINT Europe GmbH
WISPRINT Europe GmbH will be headed by newly appointed Global Business Development and Marketing Director Nidal Odeh, former manroland Goss Vice President Sales and Service, offering strategic and operational support to GGSC’s global focus.
After an apprenticeship as a chemical laboratory technician at BASF AG in Stuttgart, Odeh studied industrial engineering at the Stuttgart Media University and graduated with a degree in industrial engineering in 1998. Nidal worked at manroland Druckmachinen AG in Augsburg for several years as a Sales Project Manager, and later as Key Account Manager to customers worldwide. In 2010, Odeh switched to the service unit and was responsible for Business Development in Central and Eastern Europe. In a short span of two years, Nidal took over Service Management for the Middle East and shortly thereafter, for India and Africa. As Vice President Sales and Service International, Nidal managed the Asian, African and Australian markets for several years, while simultaneously being the (acting) Managing Director for manroland Web Systems China Organization. After the merger of manroland Web Systems and Goss International, Odeh became Business Unit Head for all new and used printing press systems in 2019.
WISPRINT Europe GmbH will also support GGSC's Director of Global Sales Peter Kirwan in enhancing agent and customer care levels in the EMEA region (Europe, the Middle East and Africa). With new presence in the heart of Europe, GGSC will be able to offer improved and more immediate on-site assistance to new and existing customers to overcome emerging challenges in the global printing industry.
WISPRINT in Australia
After joining GGSC Peter Kirwan established the WISPRINT organization in Australia. Previously with Goss International for over 40 years, Kirwan held various positions from Field Service Engineer through to Vice President of Asia Pacific Sales and brought that invaluable knowledge and experience to WISPRINT.
The WISPRINT team in Australia has been strengthened with Matt Sharkady joining as Global Project Director. Sharkady started his career as a graduate engineer working in the R&D department at Heidelberg Harris in 1995 and quickly moved to customer facing roles in order management and service management, all while completing an MBA from the University of New Hampshire. Sharkady worked and lived for several years in both Sydney, Australia and Singapore managing projects and supporting local business units to implement systems and processes to enhance their capabilities. Matt relocated to Australia in 2006 and served as General Manager of the former Goss International business in Australasia from 2006 to 2018; also supporting the Asian business as required. In Matt’s role as Global Project Director he will enhance the international capabilities of WISPRINT by building a team of professional Project Managers and Technicians.
