Wifac Star Elements Inks

Under the name Wifac Star Elements, we introduce our own developed and manufactured inks.

This ink range consists of 2 mineral based inks and 3 bio inks (of which one ‘powder killer’). These inks are designed for the widest possible range of applications and perfect suitable for nearly all types of presses (straight and perfecting). With our Elements Inks you obtain a stable print result on a wide range of printing substrates.

In this Newsletter we highlight one of the bio-inks: Elements Terra

Elements Terra is an eco-friendly organic ink, based on vegetable oil. This reduces the VOC content of the ink itself and minimises the impact of VOC on all printed substrates. In addition, it has superior lithographic performance and ink transfer. The ink is environmentally friendly and achieves superior printing quality, even on coated, matt coated substrates and card board.

Product features:
High gloss, fast drying characteristics
High rub resistance
Excellent ink transfer and excellent dot reproduction
Achieves stable print quality in various printing substrates
VOC content less than 1%
Obtained Eco Mark from Japan and other environmental associations
International Standard ISO 2846-1, ISO 12647-2 Compliance

Fountain solutions

In 2019 Wifac and Tower Products introduced the high-performance and environmental friendly Tower founts for sheetfed, heatset, coldset and narrow-web.

The founts are sold by Tower Products Europe and you can find all information in the separate newsletter of Tower Products Europe (TPE).
Washes

Since the founding of Wifac, we have been involved in the print industry by developing and supplying the best suitable washes and cleaning products.

For example: Wifac Star Paste Plus (UV), a high quality cleaning paste for thorough cleaning of ink rollers.

The paste is a blend of waxes, detergents and plasticizers for the effective removal of ink pigments and dried resins from the surface of the inking rubber rollers. The deep cleaning of Star Paste Plus eliminates roller glaze and improves ink transfer. Of course also a special UV version of this paste is available.
Offset plates

Wifac offers a complete range of analogue and digital offset plates under our Wifac Star Premium label.

A complete plate program is distributed throughout Europe, the Middle East and Africa. The distribution model is based upon frequent communication with the factory by means of our Wifac International contacts, stringent quality control, stock in The Netherlands and technical support.

Quality control is performed in the factory as well as with Wifac International. Therefore we can manage a constant quality product in conventional, CtCP and thermal plates.
Printing blankets

Wifac's professional converting facility cuts and bars printing blankets with a capacity of approx. 25.000 sqm/year. Also sticky back blankets (for example used in dry offset) can be converted.

In this newsletter we highlight: Wifac Star Ixion blanket

Wifac Star Ixion is a very versatile universal hybrid blanket that can be used in combination with conventional and UV Inks on a wide range of substrates (suitable for sheetfed, packaging and metal decoration).
The special micro ground surface finish gives outstanding print quality with sharp dot reproduction across a variety of papers, boards and printing pressures, whilst also providing excellent sheet release on high speed presses. Your advantages:
Very good half tone reproduction and overall printing quality
Easy clean-up, less retain image
Proper shock mark absorption
Excellent paper smash resistance
Best multi-purpose blanket for short runs and job changes
