Automatic planning of adhesive material

- The renowned Swedish label printing company LariTryck AB uses the EDI connection at HERMA Haftmaterial for direct, automated data exchange.
- Using the ERP software C3 from theurer.com, a labelstock order is processed entirely via EDI-processable messages.

HERMA is continuing to promote the automatic planning of self-adhesive materials in collaboration with its customers. The most recent example is the connection to LariTryck, one of Sweden's leading label printers with headquarters near Helsingborg. For the first time, HERMA and LariTryck are using the theurer.com ERP software C3 to handle ordering processes completely via EDI-processable messages: from ordering materials to transmitting delivery information. C3 is a leading ERP software for printing and packaging companies and organises all processes - from purchasing and production to sales and invoicing. Using the recently developed EDI interface, LariTryck can now order new self-adhesive material from HERMA directly from the software's order mask, for example. "The comprehensive integration of all functions right up to HERMA, our most important supplier of adhesive material, saves us a considerable amount of time", says Johan Ripa, Managing Director of LariTryck. "We can concentrate even better on our core competences, namely working closely with our customers and developing high-quality labels". LariTryck also increases efficiency across the enterprise thanks to the precise real-time information from the software. This is because the purchasing, goods receipt, production and accounting departments can process all labelstock orders using the software environment they are accustomed to. Shipping details including IDs of the labelstock rolls and exact quantities are sent directly to LariTryck's merchandise management system.

10,000 users in around 20 countries
The basis for the connection is the ERP system C3 from theurer.com, the German market leader in this field. For more than 20 years, the software house, which is headquartered near Stuttgart, has been working with customers, partners and other innovators to further develop its specialized ERP solution for the label and packaging industry, improve operating processes and implement new interfaces. The software is now used in around 20 countries; around 200 companies with more than 10,000 users use it to automate their business processes on a daily basis. "Our goal is to create new benefits for our customers time and again. Through modern software, lean business processes and automation in administration and production, we want to further increase the competitiveness of our customers," says Andreas Bauer, Managing Director of theurer.com. Both LariTryck and HERMA confirm that this goal is being achieved. "In the past, orders have repeatedly been subject to media breaks, which has cost time and money. The new connection is much more efficient and also prevents errors that occur when entries are processed manually," says LariTryck Managing Director Johan Ripa, for example. HERMA is also very satisfied with the path it has taken. "Our declared aim is to connect many more label printers who already use C3 from theuer.com in this way", comments Klaus Keller, responsible for EDI connections at HERMA Haftmaterial. The connection to C3 from theurer.com is a necessary addition to already completed EDI integrations of other IT systems commonly used in the industry.
