LANXESS increases prices for inorganic pigments

Specialty chemicals group LANXESS is raising prices for its inorganic pigments worldwide with immediate effect.

Prices per tonne will rise by at least EUR 200 for iron oxide pigments, at least EUR 300 for chrome oxide pigments and at least EUR 250 for ferrites - or the equivalent amount in national currency. In addition, LANXESS will levy a cost surcharge to cover rising transport costs, depending on the destination. Customers will be informed individually about the specifics of the measure with regard to their products.
LANXESS's Inorganic Pigments business unit is the world's largest producer of synthetic iron oxide pigments and a leading producer of chrome oxide pigments. These products have a decades-long track record as colourants for building materials, paints and coatings, plastics, paper and other applications. These strong-colour inorganic pigments are produced according to strict sustainability criteria.
