Naturally sustainable and securely packaged: Felix Schoeller Group presents new packaging portfolio at Fachpack

The Felix Schoeller Group is expanding its packaging product portfolio. With PrimePaper and FlexPaper, it offers sustainable packaging solutions with high paper quality, outstanding printability and optimum product protection for a wide range of applications. The speciality paper manufacturer, headquartered in Osnabrück, Germany, is presenting its new portfolio for the first time at this year's Fachpack trade fair in Nuremberg.

The Felix Schoeller Group will be presenting its new packaging portfolio for the first time at Fachpack, which takes place in Nuremberg from 28 to 30 September 2021. "We are delighted to be able to present our packaging solutions live to our customers," says Andrea Drieskes, Sales & Development Manager at the Felix Schoeller Group about the new PrimePaper and FlexPaper.
With PrimePaper, the Osnabrück-based speciality paper manufacturer is launching an environmentally friendly printing base made from renewable FSC-certified raw materials. PrimePaper offers flexible packaging the possibility of differentiation at the point of sale. The print substrate can be printed with the established printing processes gravure and flexo - if desired also with special coating for fully variable inkjet and indigo digital printing. The product is optimised for single-pass high-speed inkjet presses.
FlexPaper is the second innovation from the Felix Schoeller Group. FlexPaper is a secure paper composite produced using a multi-layer co-extrusion process or by extrusion lamination. In the process, common packaging requirements are adapted to the protective needs of the contents by means of individually adjustable barrier properties, seal strength and puncture resistance - regardless of whether the contents are liquid, fresh, dry or frozen. FlexPaper can be printed in flexographic and gravure printing as well as in indigo and inkjet printing. Paper laminates are also available with individually designed viewing windows on request.
"Sustainable packaging is our vision - that's why we are already working today on solutions for tomorrow. Step by step, we are replacing traditional packaging materials with environmentally friendly solutions and making our contribution to a sustainable circular economy," Andrea Drieskes continues about the possibilities for tailor-made and environmentally conscious packaging and protection of filling goods.
