PROKOM uses IPEX 2014 to announce date for first European member conference

PROKOM, the Konica Minolta user community of bizhub PRESS users, has announced at IPEX 2014 that its first Annual Member Conference will be from 16-17 October. A two-day programme in which world-class speakers will address the future of communication, print and media technology is being planned.

The decision, announced at Ipex today (Wednesday), follows a detailed survey organised by Konica Minolta among bizhub PRESS users. This made it clear that there is a real need for a discussion platform to find ways to differentiate their print and service offering. New members signing during the show will receive a three-month free membership.

PROKOM board members, including chairman Andy Barber, are actively recruiting new members on Konica Minolta's stand (N1 C130) throughout the show.

Mr Barber, General Manager of imail division of UK Mail, said: "We're getting an excellent response from people who are visiting our stand at Ipex. There is a real need for this community, which will help PROKOM Print Service Providers decide what direction to take and how to adapt to the future challenges. Our members need to stay successful in this ever changing environment. He added: "Following the general assembly and the plenary sessions the PROKOM Member Conference will be the scene for real discussions through interactive workshops that will help drive, develop and grow the business. Along with my other board members, I look forward to meeting potential new members at Ipex."

For the conference, topics such as web-2-print, variable data printing and cross media services will be presented and discussed. They will cover new developments, trends and ideas to transform the business, as well as how to increase efficiency and profitability through the right choice of software applications, automation and new customer acquisition. In short, turning print into profit!

PROKOM will members have the opportunity to meet with Konica Minolta's senior management and the PROKOM board. They can share their aspirations, concerns and issues and influence the development of industry relevant solutions at Konica Minolta.
