Printware, the leader in prepress and digital solutions is promoting the environmental sustainability of its iJetColor Press, based on Memjet technology, to the attendees at Graphics of the Americas. Printware will demonstrate the latest version of the iJetColor Digital Press and Workflow February 27-March 1, 2014, in Booth 259 at the Miami Beach Convention Center.
The iJetColor Press stands out from toner-based devices as a true "earth friendly" system with:
No particle emission found in toner-based systems
No odors or fumes from solvent or UV-cured inks
Lower energy consumption with the no heat drying
Print anywhere for a smaller carbon footprint.
Complies with all global environmental standards including ROHS
"The iJetColor Press is an ideal solution for printers looking to provide environmental sustainability," commented Tim Murphy, President of Printware. "Utilizing water-based aqueous inks, the iJetColor Press does emit the particles found in toner-based systems nor the odors from solvent or UV-cured inks."
"Environmental sustainability in printing is an extremely important topic," says George Ryan, GOA President. "The issues, trends and legislation surrounding the industry can be difficult to understand, as information is constantly changing."
The iJetColor Press was designed with sustainability in mind beginning with the use of aqueous inks. Aqueous ink systems also use significantly less energy than a toner-based envelope printer. iJetColor inks do not need heat to cure or dry as do toner based systems. The printheads of the iJetColor Press require no special disposal or permits and typically contain less than 0.5 milliliters of ink when removed from the printer. Energy consumption of the iJetColor Press can be as low as twenty-five percent of comparable toner-based systems.
GOA attendees are invited to attend a Green Roundtable moderated by industry expert Richard Romano, on Friday, February 28 from 11 am until 12:30 pm.
