HP Indigo 20000 Digital Press makes every bottle unique
Summer is getting colourful: from June to September 2019, Henkel is bringing the classic Pril dishwasher back onto the market as a limited design edition with the unmistakable Pril flower. The eye-catching labels will be produced by Folienprint RAKO GmbH, an All4Labels Group company. The HP Indigo 20000 Digital Press, which was specially developed for flexible label and packaging printing, as well as the HP SmartStream Mosaic customisation software and the PrintOS Composer, a cloud-based job creation service for simplified processing of PDF documents with variable data, will be used for this - each bottle will be a unique piece with an individual unique number.
New possibilities in digital printing for labels, sleeves and flexible packaging
Pril flowers have been popular for decades. In the current design editions, consumers can choose between the variants "yellow" and "pink", each with different fragrances - the size and arrangement of the flowers is different. Each bottle thus becomes a colourful eye-catcher in the kitchen.
"We are now in top form. The more often we do these kinds of promotions, the better they will be. Our customers are enthusiastic and I too will buy a 5-year supply of Pril," says Doris Erhardt Freitag from the management of Folienprint RAKO GmbH. "The good thing is that we are still at the beginning. Thanks to HP Indigo digital printing technology, so much is possible that is unthinkable in conventional printing processes. Fast printing on a wide range of materials
With a web width of up to 760mm and a print speed of up to 42m/min, the HP Indigo 20000 Digital Press enables high-volume, large-format label printing and the production of flexible packaging on a variety of materials. HP SmartStream Mosaic is an algorithm that automatically generates a large number of unique graphic patterns from an original pattern.
To create over 1 million print-ready PDFs, Folienprint used HP PrintOS Composer, a cloud-based application based on high-performance central servers, to quickly create print files from variable data.
