Newly founded MC-Line GmbH relies on proven HP Indigo technology for label production

The newly founded MC-Line GmbH sets the course for growth and relies on the proven HP Indigo technology.

The company was founded in March 2019 by Dietrich and Robert Mägerlein in Marburg. Together, the two founders have over 50 years of experience in the printing industry, particularly in the production of roll-fed adhesive labels. The company operates at two locations in Germany and has special expertise in the field of pharmaceutical labels. The aim of MC-Line GmbH is to build up a group of companies parallel to its own production through investments, which will develop into a leading supplier of labels in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
In July 2019, MC-Line invested in the market-leading, proven HP Indigo 6900 Digital Press for its new plant in Cölbe in order to drive growth and provide customers with fast delivery and high-quality print products. The HP Indigo 6900 Digital Press, the leading narrow web solution for high-volume label and packaging printing, is a key component.
The printing solution enables any job for narrow-format labels, flexible packaging, banderoles, in-mold or wrap-around labels to be quickly and easily produced in high quality. By acquiring a stake in Top-Label GmbH & Co. KG, the company also produces print products for the food and cosmetics industries, whereby both industries have very special requirements for the material and appearance of the labels. With the additional component of digital silver colour printing in the HP Indigo 6900 Digital Press, MC-Line GmbH is now also achieving impressive solutions for this sector.
"Our aim is to supply medium-sized and large companies with labels flexibly and efficiently," says Dietrich Mägerlein, Managing Director of MC-Line GmbH, explaining the decision. "My brother and I intensively looked at several solutions and then made a decision. In the end, only one HP solution was suitable for our machine park".
