ESC shows the variety of printing systems for industrial applications

Speed, repeatability and extreme precision are the most important requirements for printing systems used in industrial production. Thanks to 70 years of experience in the special construction of screen, tampon and digital printing systems, ESC develops custom-fit printing solutions that can be effortlessly integrated into production processes.

The variety of available printing systems will be clearly demonstrated at the ESC booth, where a Sakurai cylinder screen printing system will be on display alongside ESC-ATMA screen printing and ESC-COMEC pad printing machines as well as the Mimaki UV-Inkjet UJF 7151 plus.
Cylinder screen printing systems are often in demand when it comes to printing thin, surface-sensitive materials such as films. The decisive criterion here is maximum accuracy with uniform layer application. This can be achieved quickly and easily with the Sakurai MAESTRO SD series, for example. The automatic stop cylinder has servo drives for separately controllable functional sequences of the printing cylinder, the master frame and the squeegee drive as well as automatic, optical sheet alignment. This can optionally be supplemented by a CCD camera system. Such equipment enables even more precise adaptation to production requirements, e.g. when printing conductive pastes.
The ESC-ATMA screen printing systems often form the basis for production systems in the electronics or automotive industries. In combination with various automation systems such as pick-and-place feeding, pre-treatment, removal station, suitable dryer etc., they become complex production systems. The complete process can be controlled individually. This automation can also be carried out on ESC-COMEC pad printing machines. They are used when different shapes made of plastic, sheet metal, glass etc. are to be printed.
When manufacturing housings for mobile phones, electronic articles, USB sticks, control panels, etc., inkjet printing is increasingly used in industry for surface finishing. Here the Mimaki UJF systems for smaller formats with their versatile UV inks offer a wide range of applications. They are also characterized by outstanding print quality and user-friendliness. Designed for on-demand printing in the highest quality for industrial production, the UJF-7151 plus uses the latest technology to provide a powerful and reliable digital alternative to traditional screen printing. Such a system can also be further automated by ESC, for example by connecting a tray server as a feeder.
