Canon varioPRINT iX series: Many orders and new customers for the new sheet-fed inkjet printing system

- New Canon varioPRINT iX series impresses with a wide range of applications

- Customers praise quality, efficiency and offset-like standard
- Even large volumes, 1 to 10 million DIN A4, without quality losses, waste reduced
- Efficient and productive for short runs and high grammages

In April Canon presented the varioPRINT iX series - the Dutch customer Kampert-Nauta received its installation in mid-May. Printers from the new series will soon be installed at other locations in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. They will reliably support growth in the commercial printing markets with a wide range of applications.
The first customers include commercial and online printers. They emphasise that high quality, productivity and a wide range of media are key factors in their investment. Canon's new sheet-fed inkjet printing systems produce a wider range of applications, helping to broaden the range of print providers' offerings. The digital printing system is also convincing in terms of cost efficiency compared to printing systems using liquid toner.
Criteria for converting to inkjet
The changeover from offset printing to inkjet printing brings many advantages. There is no other machine alternative on the market that achieves such first-class quality with high product volumes of 1 to 10 million A4 pages per month. In addition, the print quality and the offset-like standard are convincing. When deciding on the Canon varioPRINT iX3200, the ease of use and flexibility for customers is also important.
First installation increases growth opportunities
The Kampert-Nauta commercial and online print shop in Oss, the Netherlands, is a leader in innovation in the Dutch print market and is the first customer worldwide to install a Canon varioPRINT iX3200. The company has a wide range of print offerings and serves a large customer base in the Netherlands and Belgium, including major web print shops and retail chains.
Kampert-Nauta's online business is set to expand throughout Europe. The new printing system will increase the volume of digital production as brochures, leaflets, flyers and special greeting cards are migrated to the new Canon inkjet platform. For Kampert-Nauta the investment goes beyond the purely technological advantages. The company emphasises that the partnership relationship with Canon played a key role in the decision. The Canon team took sufficient time to understand the customer's environment and provided tailored consulting and training to support future growth.
Managing Director Richard Kampert: "We were immediately enthusiastic about the possibilities that the Canon varioPRINT iX series can offer our company. The printer combines high quality on high grammage media without compromising productivity. We want to produce short runs without having to pass on higher costs to our customers. With the Canon varioPRINT iX3200 we are able to handle a wide range of jobs profitably. We look forward to delighting our customers with high quality prints".
Peter Wolff, Vice President, Production Printing Products, EMEA Commercial Printing, Canon Europe: "We are delighted with the above-average acceptance of the Canon varioPRINT iX series since its market launch just over a month ago. In the interest of our customers we always offer Canon solutions which are further developed according to market demand. In particular, the best quality, productivity and reliability are among the top decision criteria, without compromising cost efficiency and application diversity. From initial customer feedback to today, we expect many more customers to recognize the added value of the printing system and growth opportunities. In this market, Canon digital inkjet printing solutions are the technology of today and will continue to lead the way".
