• Canon ProStream 1000 remains available, so customers can easily upgrade to the new Canon ProStream 1800 when larger volumes are needed

Canon presents the latest system in its continuous printing portfolio: the Canon ProStream 1800. The highly productive inkjet continuous printing system reaches maximum speeds of up to 133 m / min. With this speed class, the system offers the highest resolution and print quality of all digital printing systems in this class, making it the ideal solution for print service providers who want the ultimate in performance.
The new Canon ProStream 1800 supports customers' passion for digital printing
The system was developed to expand the limits of commercial printing and to meet changing customer requirements. By combining inkjet innovations with proven techniques, the system strikes a unique balance between high productivity, superior print quality, flexibility and media diversity.
Print service providers can expand their offerings by shifting targeted order volumes from offset printing to digital inkjet printing. This increases the product level, shortens the lead time and increases the profit margin in a wide range of applications, premium mailings and high-volume direct mail, books, catalogs and magazines.
With the higher speed of 133 m / min, the Canon ProStream 1800 produces up to 107,500 A4 pages or 11,300 B2 sheets 4/4 per hour with consistently high print quality, making it 66 percent faster than the Canon ProStream 1000.
Canon ProStream 1800 impresses with its very high print quality
The Canon ProStream 1800 impresses with its very high print quality on a variety of media, including standardized, offset-coated, uncoated and inkjet-optimized paper from 40 g / m² to 300 g / m². Calendars, posters and point-of-sale applications can, for example, be created as a print job up to 556 mm wide and 1,524 mm long. This eliminates the step of stopping production in order to switch between different format lengths. The drying system ensures an even process so that printing can be carried out effectively on a wide range of papers. Since the system does not come into contact with the paper, it protects the printed image to ensure an optimal result and to maintain the gloss and the paper surface. Sophisticated sensors and their control unit continuously control the drying process during the printing process in order to always guarantee the optimal print quality. The Canon ProStream 1800 also keeps the optimal web temperature stable, thereby reducing energy consumption.
The highly productive inkjet digital printing system uses piezo print heads with real 1,200 dpi and works on the drop-on-demand principle. Polymer pigment inks with Canon ColorGrip are used to ensure full color consistency. Canon's in-line quality control, a high-performance camera system, also offers automatic print quality assurance, so the operator spends less time doing his own manual quality control. The successful Canon ProStream 1000 remains available and customers can easily upgrade to the new Canon ProStream 1800 when larger volumes are needed.
Peter Wolff, Vice President, Production Printing Products, EMEA Commercial Printing, Canon Europe: “We share our customers' passion for inkjet printing and understand that companies have to adequately meet the changing market requirements. With this knowledge, we continuously develop our technologies. The new continuous inkjet printing system is an extension of the successful ProStream technology from 2017. After more than 30 installations worldwide, we are pleased to offer our customers who want the ultimate in performance a new offer. With the new Canon ProStream 1800 we support customers who want to increase their production volume without compromising on quality and speed. "
