On October 28th and 29th, Canon is holding CON.nected, a digital online event on the subject of corporate digitization. In various keynotes, round tables, digital exhibition stands and expert presentations, modern working concepts, the latest technologies and helpful software solutions for optimizing process structures are presented. Participants in the online event will also have the opportunity to enter into a dialogue directly with Canon experts and thus also to discuss individual concepts.
The necessity and challenge of digitization
Due to the current situation, traditional and established work structures in production, in the office or in the home office have been massively changed in a very short time. These radical changes and adjustments pose great challenges for all companies alike. New, flexible solutions are required, especially in the areas of collaboration, system integration and data security. With the help of digital tools, the communication could be adapted to the changed circumstances relatively easily, inexpensively and quickly. However, the conversion of work processes and workflows is much more complicated. In order to be able to guarantee quality in the long term, it is necessary that the analog world can also seamlessly encompass the digital. This applies, for example, to the recording of incoming mail or the issue and distribution of documents. Flexible process structures and digital solutions are becoming increasingly essential here.
CON.nected 2020 - The digital path to the New Normal
With CON.nected 2020, Canon will be presenting a digital online event from October 28th and 29th that addresses the changing world of work and the so-called New Normal and provides information in a wide variety of formats about new work concepts, innovative technologies and successful software solutions. Experienced workflow specialists from Canon, who have been developing individual solutions for teamwork and system integration for a wide variety of customers for years, present digitization concepts for companies and are available to participants for direct exchange. The event opens up interesting insights, provides inspiring food for thought and uses practical solution strategies to show how the individual combination of print and information management creates a technological ecosystem that paves the way for digital transformation for companies.
Agenda of CON.nected 2020
The event will take place on two days from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and will be opened by Rainer Führes, CEO Canon Germany, who will present imaging as a key technology and central driver of AI in his lecture. This is followed by a keynote from Dr. Leonard Windscheid, who sees human error as an opportunity and an answer to artificial intelligence. In the subsequent round table from 11 a.m. to 12 noon, Heiko Elmsheuser, Director Corporate Communications & Marketing Services at Canon Germany, will discuss with internal experts Torsten Plavius, Dir. Information Management at Canon Germany, Dirk Meier, CFO at Canon Germany and Patrick Bischoff, CMO at Canon Germany, on the way to becoming a digital company. Also taking part in the discussion will be Dr. Florian Kruse. With his company Point 8, the entrepreneur has successfully specialized in process mining and, with his experience in quality assurance of digital processes, can provide helpful insights into the next step after the implementation of digital workflows. From 12 noon, virtual specialist lectures can be attended which, among other things, highlight the topics of cloud workspace collaboration or large format printing in the office environment as well as practical solutions from Canon. In addition, the virtual participants of the event can find out more about the topics of the changing world of work, information, management, sustainability or e-government & administrative modernization at digital exhibition stands.
