SCREEN Americas to Sponsor Second in Series of Educational Webinars Dedicated to Inkjet Printing

Aron Allenson, SCREEN’s high-speed inkjet product manager, to lead the November 12 event.

SCREEN Americas continues its dedication to printers by sponsoring a series of educational webinars on the benefits of inkjet printing. The upcoming webinar, the second in a series, will occur on November 12, 2020 and will focus on the economics behind investing in an inkjet press.
SCREEN’s high-speed inkjet product manager, Aron Allenson, will lead the webinar staged by two leading US print industry trade publications. A leading industry expert with a special focus in continuous feed inkjet, this will be Allenson’s second appearance in this series.
The webinar titled, Understanding the Economics of Investing in an Inkjet Press, will address printers’ concerns pertaining to operating costs versus their potential return on investment when acquiring an inkjet press. “Comparing the economics of inkjet presses isn’t necessarily apples-to-apples,” said Mark Schlimme, vice president of marketing for SCREEN Americas. “Some of that is due to different cost models but a good part is due to press manufacturer’s engineering. The same page printed on different printers won’t carry the same costs. Our goal with this webinar is to help printers navigate through any apprehension they may have by answering as many questions as they have.”
The webinar will help educate printers on how to calculate the total cost of ownership by correctly identifying key cost factors such as paper and ink consumption. Topics including the role of productivity and profitability as it coincides with running speed and press downtime will also be covered. Considerations regarding workflow, quality control, and color management will also be addressed. Printers will be able to engage in a question and answer session during the webinar.
The webinar is free and will take place November 12, 2020 at 2pm EST.
