New additions to the Sharp portfolio: black-and-white production printers for efficient, reliable job processing

Sharp is expanding its portfolio with two new high-performance black-and-white MFPs from the light production segment. The high-speed MX-M1056 and MX-M1206 models are designed for busy on-demand printing environments and offer numerous enhanced productivity and security features. They also share the same user interface and powerful workflow features found across Sharp's MFP range.

High speed and functionality
Both models deliver scanning speeds of up to 240 pages per minute and printing speeds of up to 120 pages per minute. Short warm-up times and a capacity of up to 13,500 sheets enable low interruption printing. Users also have a range of options for printing professional corporate documents. They can choose from a variety of paper types, supporting standard sizes up to SRA3/A3 and paper thicknesses up to 300 g/m". The new models also come with a wide range of advanced finishing options, including new GBC SmartPunch™ technology for folding and punching. This allows marketing materials to be produced in-house, eliminating the cost of external jobs.
Familiar user interface
The new MFPs feature a tilting 15.4-inch LCD touchscreen. The intuitive user interface allows print centre operators to control and monitor all MFP jobs and workflows at a glance. This industry-leading, fully customisable control panel is currently used on all Sharp MFPs. In particular, users who have already worked with Sharp MFPs benefit from the familiar environment and can immediately print and scan at the devices. There is no need for cumbersome searches for individual functions.
Uncomplicated cloud and network connection
Both the MX-M1056 and MX-M1206 are equipped with Sharp's proven production printing technology. To ensure that information can be shared quickly at any time, the MFPs also offer access to popular cloud services, including OneDrive, Google Drive, SharePoint Online and Dropbox. They integrate easily with existing network applications and public cloud services.
Strong IT security features
Both MFPs offer powerful security features. These include protection against firmware attacks and a self-recovery function that detects malicious attacks and resets the device firmware to its original state. A whitelisting function and the validation of SSL certificates help to protect the file system of the devices from unauthorised access.
Torsten Bechler, Manager Product Marketing DACH at Sharp Business Systems, explains: "In-house printers and internal print centres need production printers that they can rely on at all times. The devices must guarantee sustained high performance even for demanding jobs. Our new MX-M1056 and MX-M1206 models combine functionality and security with high print and scan speeds. As a result, they enable professional job management as well as high productivity to handle large volume jobs."
The new models are available now from Sharp and its partners.
